The following are instructions for applying to the South Texas Dermatology Residency Program:
- Application deadline is no later than December 15th for the following academic year.
- Personal interviews will be granted only to candidates selected after initial screening of all applications.
- No final applicant for a residency position will be accepted without an interview.
- Final selection of a dermatology resident will be made by the Residency Selection Committee and approved by the DME and CEO.

REQUIREMENTS FOR APPLYING AS A DERMATOLOGY RESIDENT
- Meet all additional requirements specified in the GME Manual of the Bay Area Corpus Christi Medical Center
- The resident is required to provide a photocopy of their Diploma from the Medical School they graduated from and a Certificate of Completion from their Approved Internship prior to the beginning of their residency program.
- The resident must meet the application criteria requirements that are mandated or adopted by the dermatology residency training program.
- The resident must have satisfactorily completed an AOA/ACGME approved internship prior to beginning the residency.
- The resident must be a graduate in good standing of a COCA/LCME Accredited College of Osteopathic Medicine or College of Medicine.
- The candidates must submit with their applications a Letter of Recommendation from:
- the Dean of the Medical School from which they graduated
- the Director of Medical Education from the hospital where they completed an AOA-approved internship
- Board Certified D.O. or M.D. Dermatologist
SPECIAL NOTES REGARDING 4TH YEAR MEDICAL STUDENT APPLICANTS:
At this point, we do not accept applications from 4th year medical students.
We do not sponsor J1 or H1B Visa.
