The following are instructions for applying to the South Texas Dermatology Residency Program:

1. Application deadline is no later than December 15th for the following academic year.
2. Personal interviews will be granted only to candidates selected after initial screening of all applications.
3. No final applicant for a residency position will be accepted without an interview.
4. Final selection of a dermatology resident will be made by the Residency Selection Committee and approved by the DME and CEO.

REQUIREMENTS FOR APPLYING AS A DERMATOLOGY RESIDENT

1. Meet all additional requirements specified in the GME Manual of the Bay Area Corpus Christi Medical Center
2. The resident is required to provide a photocopy of their Diploma from the Medical School they graduated from and a Certificate of Completion from their Approved Internship prior to the beginning of their residency program.
3. The resident must meet the application criteria requirements that are mandated or adopted by the dermatology residency training program.
4. The resident must have satisfactorily completed an AOA/ACGME approved internship prior to beginning the residency.
5. The resident must be a graduate in good standing of a COCA/LCME Accredited College of Osteopathic Medicine or College of Medicine.
6. The candidates must submit with their applications a Letter of Recommendation from:
   1. the Dean of the Medical School from which they graduated
   2. the Director of Medical Education from the hospital where they completed an AOA-approved internship
   3. Board Certified D.O. or M.D. Dermatologist

SPECIAL NOTES REGARDING 4TH YEAR MEDICAL STUDENT APPLICANTS:

At this point, we do not accept applications from 4th year medical students.

We do not sponsor J1 or H1B Visa.
